2FINAL BOB HEAD SHOTHi, I’m Dr. Bob.  Developing a life long Positive Fitness Attitude is no easy task.  In our hectic, time starved lives, its easy to find lots of reasons why we don’t have the time to work out and stay fit, eat healthy, get the right amount of sleep, and take the time to “de-stress.”  As adults, we model to our children with our family lifestyle , so it’s no wonder that we have an obesity epidemic in this country that is poised to be our nation’s number one health issue in the next few years. There IS something that can be done to prevent this and other related rapidly rising health issues with children.

I’d like to introduce you to the FIRST STEPS FOR FITNESS program. This program is designed especially for families with young children.  Busy moms struggle with how to squeeze fitness into their everyday activities.  And as the future becomes even more complex and overwhelming, the amount of time we devote to our health often slips away.  With economic times constantly changing, priorities shift toward the “basics” and for many families, an active health and fitness lifestyle is a luxury. The FIRST STEPS program is designed to be extremely practical and “family friendly”.  It provides an alternative to TV, gyms, baby sitters, and driving to the local gym.

I’d like to provide you with with a path for your family’s fitness future that considers the pressing issues of today’s modern families and allows you to establish the important building blocks for your youngest children to forge their lifelong commitment to health and wellness.

November 4, 2009

The fourth component of the M.A.R.V.E.L. Method is VALUE.  A value can be defined as a collection of guiding principles that provide the foundation for a family’s behavior.
